Foreign pilots can contact Karin Hülsemann, who's fluent in German, Dutch, and French. You'll have to fly in English, though. Karin has written an English-German Soaring Glossary which will help if you learnt to fly in German.
The original site was designed in 1996 by Geoff Butler. The index pages were revamped in 2001 by Pete Lions, who also brought the navigation style kicking and screaming into the twenty-first century. It got another makeover for its tenth birthday in 2006, which brought the style up to date.
The site was designed with the aim of being fast to load, so there are few fancy graphics and exciting animations, and no photos unless you ask to see them.
