Task Week 2004
This is the launch line on the Thursday of the club Task Week in July 2004. Our task weeks cater for all levels of experience, and that's reflected in the wide range of aircraft taking part, from wooden ships of the 1960s to the most modern high-tech machines.
We had four visitors this year, three from Currock Hill, and Tom Edwards, who's flown our task week for the past few years. Tom flies a K8, a vintage wooden single-seater from about 1960, and he's pictured last-but-one on the far launch line. Tom recently flew his K8 round an astonishing 300km triangle to achieve Gold Distance.
