One of the pubs that we congregate in after a day's flying is the Golden
Cross, one of several good pubs in the the area. They serve good beer
and good food, and they don't mind too much when we turn up there wet and
bedraggled after getting rained on in the middle of winter.
They'll happily feed us until 22:00, too, provided that we warn them, which
is a boon after a Trial Lesson Evening on one of the long summer evenings
in June and July.
Here's a detailed map of how to get to the pub from the airfield...
Turn left out of the gate, and right at the T junction. It's on the left.
This is what it looks like when you get there.
The pub is centre bottom of the picture. Behind it are the railway lines
out of Stratford, the Stratford canal, and Wilmcote village.
