Sutton Bank, 2000
Every year, the Club organises a week-long expedition to the
Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton Bank, near Thirsk. This is a
photograph of the YGC site, taken looking North, with the
White Horse in the foreground.
The White Horse is Victorian, but it was discovered in 2001 that
it marks one wall of an enormous Iron Age hill fort that occcupied
all of the large cleared area at the near end of the YGC site.
